Let kids be kids!

Please let go of the idea of perfection. Perfect doesn't exist! I'd much rather you show up, let your kids be kids, drop all expectations and lean into loving on your family for the hour we have together. Don't stress over wether your kids will "behave" Let them explore, let them run, let them play. Sometimes these candid photos of them just being them often end up your favourites.

I have my own set of tricks and games up my sleeves to get them to engage with me. It's playing and exploring over posing.

If you go into the session with the mind set of okay, this might be slightly chaotic, the kids might get a bit messy but we are going to have so much fun and I am about to create memories with my favourite people then we will have a good time. Surrender is a good word for it.

Make sure they have eaten before hand. If your little ones are still napping, ensure they have a nap prior to our session. Aim to arrive 10 minutes early so you can dress them and they can wake up if they’ve fallen asleep in the car. Bring an extra layer incase it’s chilly.

You can bring their favourite toy that you don’t mind being in the photos if they need that comfort. Please leave all screens/ipads in the car. I have my own little games and tricks to get them to be involved and have fun.
