Since entering Motherhood myself, I have made it my mission to get other Mums in front of my lens so they have their motherhood captured and those moments now frozen forever to keep. We all know motherhood is a wild ride, a blur at times and I want you in the frame with your tiny little humans so you can look back and remember every age. Those precious milestones we use to only wonder about. Pregnancy, those first few weeks soaking in that newborn bubble, those 6 month milestones and every year after.Let’s create memories while you’re all under one roof.

My Approach

Hey, I’m Caitlin. I’m all about creating a calm, easy going experience for you and your baby.

From start to finish, I’ll gently guide you through the process, always putting your little one’s comfort first. These newborn sessions are truly special. It’s the closest thing to bottling up that newborn smell and being able to press pause amongst the blur of motherhood.

I know how exhausting the postpartum phase can be. It’s tempting to wait until things settle down a bit. But I’ve talked to so many Mums who wish they’d captured those early days while they could. Trust me, you won’t regret it.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Experience the most out of our newborn session together.

Newborn sessions are done in the comfort of your own home, usually around 11am. My newborn sessions are naturally posed and gently guided, promising to capture the sweetest moments between you and your newest little love. Dad and siblings are more then welcome. Infact, I encourage it. Your baby will only be this small once and once life settles and the whirl whind that is the newborn bubbles relaxes, you'll be gald you didn't rely on your faded memory to remember these moments.

I have a small client wardrobe for you to choose from if you'd like to borrow a dress and choices of newborn outfits, blankets and wraps. All you have to do is say yes and then send me your coffee order the morning of.

I also offer a bump to baby package. Book both your maternity and newborn shoot with me to receive $100 off your newborn session.

THE PROCESS

Our Session Flow

Book in a session date.Sign and return some t’s and c’s and pay your deposit.

BOOK

I will send you a short questionnaire to get to know you a bit better and gather any details about your journey you'd like to let me know.

PREPARE

I will send you a reminder email one week before our session to see if baby has in fact arrived and a text on the day to say I can’t wait for our session together.

SHOOT

You will receive your edited proof gallery 3 weeks after our shoot date. You will be able to select your favourites or upgrade to the full gallery if you wish.

DELIVER

Don’t leave your photos as digital files. There is a print store connected to your final gallery so you can enjoy them as physical copies, hold them in your hands and hang them on the walls of your home.

FAQ's

Q: What if my baby doesn't come on their due date?

A: Due dates are just an estimate. I like to pencil your newborn session for 10-14 days after your due date but I will get in touch 1 week prior to our shoot together to see if baby has in fact arrived. At this time we can reschedule our session if need be.

Q: I'm feeling self conscious being postpartum but really want photos of this special time.

A: I have been there twice so I know exactly how that feels. I will bring you a beautiful dress, I will make sure your hair is sitting just right,

I will bring you a coffee and I will position you in the most flattering light so when you look at these images you will see the magic your body just went through. I've got you!

Q: What should I buy for baby to wear ?

A: I will bring along some newborn outfits, wraps and blankets and we can choose one together on the day so there is no need to go shopping unless there is something specific you have your heart set on.

Q: My baby has dry peeling skin and a few spots, can we still go ahead?

A: Yes, absolutely. Dry, peeling skin is so quintessentially newborn. A reminder of how fresh and little they are. I tend not to edit peeling skin on hands and feet as I actually love that little feature but you can of course request this during the editing stage if you like. Any baby acne, blemishes and non permanent spots are usually edited out once you've made your image selection.
